Interlibrary Loan

What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?

ILL allows students and college employees to borrow research materials from other libraries. Materials are sent directly to the Kirk Library.

When would you use ILL?

Use ILL when you have searched the databases and catalogs of the Kirk Library and the Timberland Regional Library System, but have failed to locate enough information to complete your project.

How do you request an ILL?

  1. Fill out and print the ILL Request Form | MS Word | PDF |. Please attach to the form a printout from the book, periodical database, website, or catalog where you found the citation.
  2. Bring the form to the library and consult with the librarian on duty.

How much does this service cost?

The requestor must pay the difference if the lending library charges more than $10.00.

How much time does it take to obtain an item?

We cannot guarantee turnaround time, but we receive most requested items within one week.
